As part of the seven highest mountain ranges of the Ethiopia, the Simien Mountains are the majestically high rising gods of the mountains.
Demarcated to be a national park in 1969, the Simien Mountains National park is home to three of the endemic mammals of the country and hundreds of bird species. Accounting 19 of the country’s highest peak including Ethiopia’s highest peak – the Ras Dejen/Dashen (4565 meters above sea level), is an amazing place to spend while taking into consideration mountaineering activities.
