A Jewel from the eastern part of Ethiopia, is a five gated walled city and one of the oldest of the country founded during the 10th century AD.
Harar – influenced by the culture and religion of the arab traders of the medieval period, is often called to be a Holy city by Ethiopian Muslims. The oldest houses of former travelers/explorers converted into museums, the beautifully decorated houses of the local Harari peoples, and the nightlife Hyenas feeding events are the main attractions to the city.
