Day 1

arrive in Addis Ababa, the home of the African Union and many international organization with a guide. Our minibuses will be waiting for you. Check-in to your hotel and in the afternoon visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, the ethnological Museum, St. Georges Church. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 2 Addis Abeba – Dinsho

After breakfast we take a scenic drive to Dinsho through Debrezeyit, Nazreth and Arsi where you’ll be able to see the crater lakes and possibly some of the endemic birdlife. Overnight Dinsho lodge.

Day 3 & 4 Bale Mountains National Park

In the morning we drive to the Senatti Mountains, where you can enjoy the moorlands with their unique alpine vegetation and the lakes of Tulu Dimtu. In the afternoon we go game viewing in the Bale Mountains. We continue to explore the Bale Mountains  national park on the fourth day. Overnight Hotel, in Goba.

Day 5 Hawassa – Arba Minch

Drive to Arba Minch (’40 springs’ in Amharic) to tour the forest that is supported by the springs that give the town it’s name. On the way we visit the Dorze tribes, known for their weaving, living in traditional beehive shaped bamboo huts. Overnight at a lodge.

Day 6 Arba Minch

In the morning we take a game drive through the Nechisar national park, this will give us a good chance to see the numerous gazelle, dik-dik, kudu and possibly the endangered Swayne’s Hartebeest. In the afternoon we take a boat tour on lake Chamo, known for it’s population of sunbathing crocodiles. Overnight hotel.

Day 7 Arbaminch – Turmi

Our drive to Turmi (the capital of the Hamer region) gives us the opportunity to visit the Konso, Tsemay and Karo tribes who are famous in their body painting and extravagent hair styles. Dinner and overnight camping is in Turmi.

Day 8 Turmi – Mago

The tour continues to Mago National park.On the way we’ll visit the Karo tribes who are famous for their face and body painting, which often represents guinea fowl plumage. Dinner and overnight camping will be at Mago.

Day 9 Mago-Mrsi-Jinka

After breakfast, we drive to visit the Mursi tribes who you’ll recognise by their distinctive lip plate. Then drive to Jinka and overnight in a hotel.

Day 10 Jinka – Key-Afer – Arbaminch

Drive to visit the Bana and Konso tribes, we time this day so that we can visit the bustling Thursday market at Key-Afer, before returning to Arba Minch. Overnight lodge.

Day 11 Arbaminch – Langano

Drive to Langano, on the way you’ll be able to enjoy the views across the numerous rift valley lakes, before relaxing at a hotel near the shores of Lake Langano. Overnight hotel.

Day 12 Langano – Awash national Park

The tour takes us on a game drive through the Awash National park , and we visit the churning Awash Falls. Among the many species living in Awash are Oryx, Gazelle and dik-dik, warthogs and baboons, not to mention the literally hundreds of bird species. Overnight lodge.

Day 13 Awash – Addis Ababa

After a short morning walk around we whill have lunch and drive back to Addis in the afternoon. Then after a farewell dinner in one of the traditional restaurants in Addis, you will be transferred to Bole International Airport for your flight home.
